About us

国内外で活動する前衛舞踊デュオ。劇場、クラブ、ストリート、ギャラリーと様々な 場所で活動.在仏日本大使館 広報大文化センターのParis-Tokyo Festivelを皮切りにヨーロッパ(フランス、イギリス、ドイツ、チェコ)で の活動を始める。 現代社会で生きる上での問題や疑問を取り上げて”人間らしく生きる”をテーマにした詩的な作品作りと、感覚的な実験劇場である即興の二つをベースに活動している。2007年、『DANSER』(フランス)『ballet tanz』(ドイツ)best stage 34のtopに掲載される。 共同通信パリ支局 よりニュース配信される。
2013より、Art Space 呼応co-oh 主催。様々なアートが交流する場所としてオーガナイズも行っている。様々なアーティストとのセッション、写真や映像作品にも出演している。最近ではモノクローム写真の巨匠、Michael Kenna の被写体として彼の大回 顧展の作品として恵比寿写真美術館に展示された。

その他、大分県立美術館教育普及、『瀬戸内リトリート 青凪文化音楽芸術祭』、『アートビオトープ那須』、『山のシューレ』等に出演。　2022年、舞台作品「震える空~Vibrating Sky」がエストニアの『Aasia festivalil 1000 kurge』、

スイスと仏でも招聘。好評を博した後、2024年に再招聘された。 　

2022年と2024年には国際的アートトリエンナーレ『越後妻有大地の芸術祭』

に出品。民謡協会とのコラボレーション作品をドミニク・ペローのバタフライ

パヴィリオンと共に発表。常にジャンルを超えて活動している。

2025年11月28日、青山草月ホールにて30周年記念公演T-W-Oを開催。

An avant-garde dance duo active both in Japan and internationally, the duo performs in a wide range of settings, including theaters, clubs, streets, and galleries. Their international career in Europe began with the Paris-Tokyo Festival at the Cultural Information Center of the Embassy of Japan in France, followed by performances in France, the United Kingdom, Germany, and the Czech Republic.

Their work is rooted in two complementary approaches: poetic creations exploring questions and challenges of contemporary life, centered on the theme of “living authentically as human beings,” and improvisation as a form of sensory experimental theater.

In 2007, the duo was featured at the top of the “Best Stage 34” selection in DANSER (France) and ballet tanz (Germany). Their activities were also covered by Kyodo News’ Paris bureau.

Since 2013, the duo has organized Art Space co-oh, a platform that brings together artists and fosters exchanges across diverse artistic disciplines. They have participated in collaborative sessions with numerous artists and appeared in photographic and video works. More recently, they were featured as subjects in the work of Michael Kenna, the master of monochrome photography, and their portraits were exhibited at the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum as part of his major retrospective.

Other appearances include educational and outreach programs at the Oita Prefectural Art Museum, the Setouchi Retreat Aonagi Cultural Music and Arts Festival, Art Biotop Nasu, and Yama no Schule, among others.

In 2022, their stage work Vibrating Sky was invited to the Aasia festivalil 1000 kurge in Estonia, as well as to Switzerland and France. Following its acclaimed reception, the work was invited back in 2024.

In both 2022 and 2024, the duo presented works at the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale, an internationally recognized contemporary art festival. A collaborative work with a Japanese folk song association was presented alongside Dominique Perrault’s Butterfly Pavilion. The duo continues to explore new forms of expression, transcending conventional artistic boundaries.

On November 28, 2025, the duo presented T-W-O, a 30th-anniversary commemorative performance at Sogetsu Hall in Aoyama, Tokyo.
